    SENIOR POLICE ACADEMY

We are eager to announce that the Eliot Police Department

will be hosting a Senior Police Academy for the seniors of our community this year!

The goal of the program is for members of the community and local law enforcement officers to interact in a positive and proactive setting to share ideas and information.  It is designed to introduce the police department’s roles, talk about the community and introduce the Criminal Justice system.  Personal well being and victimization awareness will be covered as well.

 

The academy will start on Thursday, April 10 and will continue until Thursday, June 26; making it a 12-week program.  There will be a graduation ceremony on Friday, June 27.  The class will be held once a week on Thursday's at

 

Anyone interested will need to meet the following criteria:

-55 years of age or older

-Reside or employed in the Town of Eliot

-No prior felony arrests (or misdemeanor arrests in the past five years)
-Must agree to a basic background check

-Fill out and return the application by March 21

 SENIOR ACADEMY APPLICATIONS

Applications can be picked up after February 1, 2008 at either the Eliot Police Department or the Eliot Office of Community Services, Eliot Maine.
