Join Eliot Police and NAMI Maine as we host a condensed screening of the award-winning documentary Ernie & Joe: Crisis Cops on Tuesday, May 25, 2021, from 7:00-8:30 PM.

ERNIE & JOE: CRISIS COPS is an intimate portrait of two Texas police officers who are helping change the way police respond to mental health calls. The film takes audiences on a personal journey, weaving together Ernie and Joe’s experiences during their daily encounters with people in crisis. These two officers are not your everyday cops. They are part of the San Antonio Police Department’s Mental Health Unit

Following a screening of a short version of the film, a panel discussion, and Q&A featuring Ernie Stevens, one of the film's subjects, along with representatives from law enforcement, mental health providers, and medical professional to speak about efforts being made in Southern Maine. Any questions please contact Chief Elliott Moya at emoya@eliotpolice.org or 207-439-1890.
